Job Title:
Litigation Paralegal II

Experience Information:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal required. Construction Defect experience preferred.

Job Summary:
The Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal II for our busy Construction Defects department. This individual will be responsible for pre-suit matters, including case development, mediation, and arbitration. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and analytical skills, as well as strong attention to detail and time management abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Requesting documents from clients
- Assisting in preparation of team snapshots for meetings
- Updating claims database
- Preparing response to notices of claims
- Preparing work authorization agreements
- Requesting copies of inspections and estimates
- Tracking mediation outcomes, settlements, and tender of payments
- Drafting settlement agreements, signatures, and fund disbursements
- Assisting in drafting responses to demands for arbitration and discovery
- Preparing claim for final hearing
- Drafting responses to complaints and discovery
- Preparing materials and documents for hearings
- Filing and serving circuit court filings

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of paralegal experience required
- Construction Defect experience preferred

Salary Range:
$45,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
