US In-House Employee Benefits Counsel (Part Time) - Law Firm Overview: Mayer Brown is seeking a Part Time US In-House Employee Benefits Counsel to join our Benefits department in our Chicago, Washington . or New York office. As an international law firm, Mayer Brown represents major corporations, funds, and financial institutions in complex transactions and disputes. Responsibilities: - Advise on Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, Affordable Care Act, COBRA, HIPAA, and other legal regulations related to retirement and health welfare plans - Draft and review plan documents, agreements, and communications - Work with investment committees, recordkeepers, actuaries, and auditors - Keep Firm leadership and HR updated on legal developments and opportunities for plan improvement - Collaborate with .
