JOB DESCRIPTION: - Assist attorneys with intake of new patent files and handle additional prosecution related projects. - Manage deadlines for patent prosecution across foreign and US jurisdictions. - Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other staff to collect necessary materials and triage for entry into the firm's systems. - Work on additional patent prosecution tasks and special projects as needed. - Billable goal of 1000 hours. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and prior counsel to complete intake of new patent files. - Manage intakes, prepare master lists, maintain dashboards, and flag urgent files. - Troubleshoot missing required items and obtain necessary information from prior counsel or foreign associates. - Prepare and file documents for US and foreign matters. - Correspond with foreign associates regarding transfer of files. - Promote a positive work environment and lead collaborative projects. - Assist in one or more patent prosecution functional areas in a billable capacity, such as pre-foreign, IDS, and non-functional areas. - Work on additional prosecution related projects as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree preferred. - Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US and foreign patent prosecution. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. - Strong communication skills, both oral and written. - Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Knowledge of legal terminology, rules, regulations, and procedures specific to patent practice. - Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. - Highly flexible and able to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently. - Punctual, reliable, and able to meet deadlines. - Ability to maintain confidentiality of matters and firm information. - Adherence to established work schedule with flexibility for overtime requests. SALARY INFORMATION: - Expected salary range of $90,700 - $104,500 annually. - Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. - Comprehensive benefits package offered.
