Summary:

Foley & Lardner is seeking a highly qualified Paralegal Director to join their team in various locations across the US. The Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's paraprofessional program, including recruiting, training, performance management, and work allocation. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of legal and/or paraprofessional experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary range of $171,800 - $280,100.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain a firm-wide paraprofessional program encompassing all three law departments - Business Law, Intellectual Property, and Litigation.
- Analyze existing programs and recommend and implement changes as necessary.
- Introduce strategic and innovative approaches to process improvement to enhance overall operation and client service.
- Develop hiring criteria and advancement frameworks for consistency across departments.
- Support professional development of paraprofessionals through onboarding, training, and knowledge management.
- Proactively address attorney and client support needs and create workflow coverage plans.
- Monitor utilization and realization of paraprofessionals and adjust resources as needed.
- Collaborate with legal departments and finance on paraprofessional billing rates.
- Prepare and oversee budget for paraprofessional program.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal and/or paraprofessional experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Experience working with paraprofessionals in multiple practice areas preferred.
