Litigation Assistant Job at Law Firm in Miami, Florida Join our team at Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to fighting for consumer rights. We are currently seeking a Litigation Assistant with at least 2 years of experience to support our legal team in managing day-to-day operations. This is a fast-paced and dynamic workplace, so we are looking for someone with exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities: - Perform administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow - Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation - Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents - Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with case preparation and legal advice - Manage client billing and resolve billing issues - Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions - Manage and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree or paralegal certificate preferred - Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred - At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal - Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas preferred - Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, and court rules and procedures - Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and typing speed of at least 35 wpm Benefits: - Medical and dental insurance - 401(k) plan - Paid time off and holidays Equal Opportunity Employer: Morgan & Morgan provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
