Law Firm Seeking Experienced Litigation Assistant in Providence, Rhode Island Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Assistant to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. Responsibilities and Qualifications - Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Implement and improve upon administrative processes for more efficient workflow - Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation - Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents - Research regulations, laws, and legal articles - Manage client billing and resolve billing issues - Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions - Manage and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems - Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements - High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or Paralegal Certificate preferred - At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department - Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, or other injury related practice areas preferred - Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills Benefits and Equal Opportunity For full-time employees, Morgan & Morgan offers an excellent benefits package including medical and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays.
