- MBA or Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field with at least 3 years as an analyst or related occupation, involving credit analysis for CDOs and complex structured credit transactions
Salary Information:
- Anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $134, - $194,, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
- In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.

Job Description:
- The Legal Analyst for Structured Credit Transactions will be responsible for analyzing the quantitative, structural, and credit aspects of corporate CLOs and other structured credit transactions.
- This includes conducting legal analysis and review of transaction documents, modeling cash flow CLOs, and presenting rating recommendations to rating committees.
- The individual will also have the opportunity to write publishable research and participate in on-site operations reviews of issuers.
- This role may also involve working on projects to enhance rating analysis and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal analysis and review for structured credit transactions and asset-level documents
- Model cash flow CLOs and analyze their transaction documents
- Prepare rating committee memos and present rating recommendations to rating committees
- Communicate with clients, including arrangers, issuers, investors, and outside legal experts
- Write publishable research on credit issues affecting the industry
- Participate in on-site operations reviews of issuers
- Work on projects to enhance rating analysis and processes
Qualifications:
- Law degree with 1-2 years of legal experience in structured finance or related discipline, or MBA or Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field with at least 3 years as an analyst or related occupation, involving credit analysis for CDOs and complex structured credit transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong modeling skills and experience with MS Excel, Moody's CDOEdge, and Moody's CDOROM™ software
- Ability to analyze and interpret legal documents and identify a transaction's credit strengths and weaknesses
- Experience leading and working with teams on projects
- Strong analytical orientation
- Sound judgment, highest ethical standards and capable of complying with extensive rules, policies, and procedures
