Overview

As an NTT Faculty in Law at SIU Simmons Law School, you will have the opportunity to teach courses such as Federal Courts and other upper-division courses. We are looking for experienced legal professionals who are passionate about training the next generation of lawyers. This is a term faculty appointment with the possibility of hybrid and online instruction.

Responsibilities

- Delivering classroom instruction to students
- Participating in hybrid and online instruction, if necessary
- Completing other duties as assigned by the Dean

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school by date of hire
- Admission to a state bar (active or inactive status) for at least five years
- Minimum five years of legal practice experience

Note: The minimum years of required practice may be waived for exceptional circumstances, such as outstanding law school performance or an advanced degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior law school teaching or legal training experience
- Demonstrated interest in training law students
