Position Summary:
The Hawai`i State Judiciary is seeking a District Court Clerk I for the Honolulu, Oahu location. This position is responsible for authoring the official court record in a court of limited jurisdiction for District Court traffic and criminal arraignment or civil small claims court proceedings. The District Court Clerk I also prepares documents ordered by the court and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- 1 year of work experience in a court or legal setting
- Ability to type at a rate of 40 net words per minute

Substitutions Allowed:
- Education at an accredited college or university in a paralegal, legal studies, law program, or a closely related field may be substituted for up to 6 months of specialized experience
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a closely related field may be substituted for 1 year of specialized experience
