Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP Reviews

Advice to law firm management: This firm needs to offer more pay for employees if they want them to stay. Otherwise they will look elsewhere and the law firm will have to keep hiring new people.

Pros: I worked at this firm for several years and met a lot of great people on the way. I got to work with some of the best and hardworking people I've ever met and management treats everyone like family. You really feel valued at this firm.

Cons: The only downside to this firm is the best. It isn't the great and to be honest I would have stayed if they paid me more. They just don't seem to want to pay employees more, even when the law firm is thriving.

Advice to law firm management: Be clear about what options there are other than partner. Stop catering to the attorneys and support your staff.

Pros: You will learn a lot from working here. Clients are great and there is a variety of work. The location is great. Projects are challenging.

Cons: Managers are disconnected from projects and expectations. The pay is low. It's difficult to make partner here.

The first rotation is based on the summer associate's preferred choices. Later rotations are designed to ensure that the associate gets to sample the firm's different practice areas.

Summers are exposed to interesting and challenging work and typically are assigned projects similar to that of a entry-level attorney. These assignments include writing briefs, client memoranda and motions, deposition preparation, drafting documents and performing "due diligence" related to corporate transactions.

In addition to providing an introduction to life as an associate, the firm provides a wide array of social events with the goal of helping its summer associates to get to know one another.

Summer associates receive a salary of $3,077 per week during the summer. Among other benefits available to its summer associates are salary advances; subsidized gym memberships; and travel and moving expenses.

Everyone Loves LawCrossing

LawCrossing was probably the best legal board I have used. I liked the layout and it was user friendly. I tried to use another job board, but it was not user friendly and was kind of a pain, whereas LawCrossing was easy to use to find jobs. I really liked it. I would certainly recommend this site and service to my colleagues.
