Dewey Loses 12 Partners to Willkie
Dewey has lost 12 of its partners to Willkie Farr & Gallagher. The partners were from the firm’s core insurance sector transactional team. Dewey has already lost 18 partners so far this year to rival firms. Dewey released a statement in which it said that the firm had an idea that this was going to happen for some weeks now. The firm was expecting some more partners to leave by the end of April and counts this lot of lawyers leaving among them. The partners leaving the firm informed the executive committee of their plans on Friday. The move is expected to cost Dewey around $22 million in revenue. The firm has already been in the news these past few months over reports of deferring millions of dollars in compensation to its newer lateral hires.
LawCrossing has the most listings of any job board I have used. It's actually a great site. The website had a lot of detail. It’s nice that you don't have to go through a recruiter if you don't want to. You can actually contact the law firm directly for the positions listed. LawCrossing had a ton of great features.
