What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Attract new clients by getting more with the times and making the place look happier.The place has this dull, almost sad, feeling to it.Get work done a bit faster but please keep the same atmosphere you currently have, as it's the best part of the firm.

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
One of the best things about this firm is the pleasant coworkers. Everyone is nice, helpful and willing to take the time to assist in any way they can.Management is willing to work with you, listens to ideas and is very speedy with requests.The pay is on par with the average. There is plenty of room for growth.Weekly meetings are held to discuss just about everything.

What did you not like about this institution?
The firm could use some updating as far as interior decorating goes;the atmosphere kind of suffers because of the rundown look of the place.Work can be a bit slow at times, mostly because their usually isn't enough to go around.The pace of the overall work of the firm is very slow because of the helpful environment.

What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
Get a real manager. Just because someone is in a high level position doesn't make them natural managers or leaders. Changing managers and rules as often as they do leads to confusion and apathy. Why worrying about anything if your manager will not have his title in 2 months?

What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
They have a high turn over so your job will always be secure.

What did you not like about this institution?
The whole staff consists of people who just fell into their positions. I have asked around and not one actually studied in their field or are even certified to do their jobs. None of the paralegals are certified! You are surrounded by people who know just enough to keep the place running. When I bring up issues with some of the senior staff they appear dumbfounded meanwhile they've been there for like 20 years. They just repeat the mantra that this is the way it is and they don't want to change. Who is they? Everyone is good at pointing fingers in every direction except themselves. No one claims responsibility for anything. Management itself is a game of musical chairs, one day its this person and the next day its another. They are all running scared of the top guy and will actually tell you if you to speak to him yourself whenever issues come up. Classic case of micro-management. If you show the tiniest bit of initiative in your job you will be buried with responsibilities from every department. No one wants to do their own work and the idiot that stands out will get 3 new jobs without a pay raise. I walk around with my resume in my pocket to remind them and myself what I was hired to do. Like any other company you will find bad eggs but this place not only hires them they encourage them. Poor performance here is a running joke and its definitely not funny.

People, departments, offices, products, services and whatever comes to mind that should be avoided at this institution
Top partner is a nice person but I hear if you work with him or his son you are doomed.

How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Not much.
