What would you, or others, like to see changed at employer?
The firm has taken promising steps in supporting the diverse, young leaders who are emerging as practice group and committee chairs.
What were the things that you liked most about this employer?
A great bunch of people, many who have worked at Ryan Swanson for several years. There is a lot of trust in the employees to work efficiently and collaboratively, with minimal micromanaging. The Puget Sound Business Journal has listed the firm among the "Best Workplaces" list for 4 or 5 straight years, with recent high marks for minorities as a share of staff and women as a share of staff. Recent hires have been a boost for the collegial culture that has existed since I started working here over ten years ago.
How could this employer run its business to employees or the public better?
Ryan Swanson has a committee that focuses exclusively on organizing fun and engaging events for attorneys and staff. They also have a sabbatical benefit for all employees (not just lawyers) that is unmatched.
