Job Title: Paralegal - Estate & Wealth Planning

Job Responsibilities:
The Estate & Wealth Planning Paralegal at the law firm is responsible for a variety of tasks involving the administration of estates and the preparation of gift and estate tax returns. The essential duties and responsibilities include:

- Abiding by the ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct.
- Drafting and preparing documents such as federal estate and gift tax returns, probate documents, estate accountings, and estate planning documents.
- Reviewing, proofreading, revising, and organizing documents related to estate and trust administration matters.
- Scheduling and participating in meetings or conferences with clients to discuss estate planning and administration.
- Providing analysis and input regarding the development of strategies for estate and wealth planning.
- Preparing estate filings and other court documents as needed.
- Ensuring regular and in-person attendance to perform the essential functions of this interactive position.
- Performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervising attorneys or the department.

Education and Experience:
The position requires the following qualifications and experience:

- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Prior experience in estate administration is necessary, including experience with the preparation of complex federal estate and gift tax returns for high net worth individuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently on multiple outstanding matters.
- A strong substantive understanding of the legal aspects of estate and wealth planning work and related documentation is required.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements for the position include:

- The work is primarily sedentary, requiring the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- The work involves the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Occasionally, the work may require bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.

Additional Information:
