Job Title: Litigation Docketing Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Docketing Specialist is tasked with providing multi-jurisdictional litigation docketing support across the law firm. This client-focused and detail-oriented role involves handling a high volume of filings and attorney requests daily. Essential duties include:
- Reviewing legal documents and filings to determine deadlines for Federal, State, and Appellate Courts.
- Entering litigation deadlines into the docketing database in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitoring internal team inboxes to manage the receipt and retention of all court filings.
- Generating docket reports and responding to queries from attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
- Monitoring cases using various online resources and distributing documents as needed.
- Handling case team inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently.
- Maintaining litigation docketing team protocols.
- Performing other duties as assigned to meet position requirements fully.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Litigation Docketing Specialist position should have:
- A minimum of two years of experience in litigation docketing, calendaring, and civil procedure.
- A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of various court websites, litigation procedures, docket searching, and document retrieval databases.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask under general supervision.
- Effective communication skills with all levels within the law firm.
- The capability to handle and maintain confidential or sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, data entry, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Litigation Docketing Specialist position in Colorado is - per hour. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance. Offers of employment consider a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market, and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment.
Additional Information:
This position is initially in-person Monday through Friday for the first 90 days, with a transition to a hybrid role requiring in-office presence two or more days per week after this period.
