Job Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant in the Litigation Practice Group is responsible for a variety of tasks that support attorneys. These responsibilities include:
- Typing and revising legal documents and correspondence.
- Proofreading documents to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining both paper and electronic files for organization and easy retrieval.
- Calendaring and tracking deadlines to ensure timely submissions and avoid missed deadlines.
- eFiling and docketing to manage case documents and court filings.
- Conducting online and general research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Answering the telephone and assisting clients, providing prompt responses and excellent customer service.
- Successfully multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment to handle various tasks efficiently.

Education and Experience Information
The ideal candidate for this position will be a motivated self-starter with prior litigation experience. Key qualifications include:
- Experience in a litigation setting, with a strong understanding of legal processes.
- Skilled in addressing sensitive topics with discretion and maintaining confidentiality in all communications.
- Strong technical proficiency, with advanced skills in computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- General knowledge of both state and federal trial court processes and procedures.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.
