Job Title: Bankruptcy Intake Processor
Job Responsibilities:
The Bankruptcy Intake Processor at the law firm is tasked with handling high volumes of new legal referrals from various clients. The specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Opening new legal referrals in the law firm's internal case management software.
- Downloading all corresponding documents from client systems and PACER.
- Reviewing referrals to ensure all necessary information and documents are present according to client, court, and judge requirements to proceed with the file.
- Requesting and following up on any missing information or documents needed to proceed with the file.
- Forwarding complete files to the appropriate department or attorney to ensure proper and timely handling.
- Assisting with additional projects as necessary.
Education and Experience Information:
The job requires a high school diploma. Prior experience in bankruptcy is preferred but not required. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, capable of opening and reviewing high volumes of new referrals effectively and accurately. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact with coworkers, attorneys, and other staff members regarding files. The candidate should be proficient in software tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
