Experienced Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience as a legal secretary/paralegal and must be familiar with court rules in Santa Barbara and Ventura County, and must live in Santa Barbara County. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Must possess excellent organization skills, and communication skills, and must be hyper-organized. Must have own transportation and be willing to drive to Ventura or other parts of Santa Barbara County if needed. Must have excellent typing skills and high proficiency in using Microsoft Word. Must be a self-starter, able to anticipate and follow through on tasks, and manage time efficiently. Answering Phones. Performing new client intakes Assisting existing clients, Typing, Filing, Writing, and Research. Assisting with Depositions and Mediations. Filing of court documents. Managing attorney court calendar. Fluency in Spanish is desired. High school or equivalent. Should have 3 years of Microsoft Office. Should preferably have the Spanish language.
