Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney -- Bodily Injury

Job Responsibilities:
As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit, you will be a part of the motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team. Your responsibilities will include providing legal representation to insured clients and/or the insurance companies before courts and arbitration panels. You will handle cases from inception to resolution, which involves preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs, as well as negotiating settlements. A critical aspect of the role is working closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely litigation reports and ensuring that all appropriate defenses are utilized to achieve favorable results. Additional tasks include analyzing written discovery, depositions, and medical records, as well as assessing the value of claims to determine risk exposure.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) and have a minimum of 2 years of general or auto litigation experience. Admission to practice law in the state of New York is required.

Salary Information:
The compensation for this position ranges from $154,440 to $171,600 per year. Additionally, there is a Gainshare bonus opportunity of up to 40% of eligible earnings, contingent upon company performance.
