Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Paralegal will be part of the in-house litigation department of a Fortune 500 company, which is one of the largest providers of title insurance globally. The role is based in the New York City office, where the paralegal will support the litigation team with various responsibilities. Key duties include:
- Providing assistance in a paralegal or litigation assistant capacity.
- Familiarity with tools such as Relativity, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Suite, Box, DropBox, and other document-sharing platforms.
- Managing electronic filing in New York State Courts, which includes Supreme, Appellate, and Surrogate Courts, as well as Federal Courts, such as District Courts and Bankruptcy Courts.
- Understanding and applying New York State Court Rules and Procedures.
- Demonstrating superior organizational skills for organizing internal matter files, calendaring, and paperless filing.
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail and being self-motivated with a proven record of taking initiative.
- Supporting four or more attorneys simultaneously.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should ideally possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Experience in a paralegal or litigation assistant role.
- Familiarity with the software and tools mentioned above.
- Experience with electronic filing in relevant courts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to support multiple attorneys effectively.
- Strongly preferred qualifications include trial and trial preparation experience, an associate degree, or a paralegal certification from an American Bar Association-approved program.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to form inter-departmental relationships.
Salary Information:
The position offers an hourly wage ranging from to , based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. The actual rate may vary within the provided range, depending on factors including skillset, experience, and location. This base compensation is part of a comprehensive total rewards package available to eligible employees, which includes optional health and welfare insurance (medical, dental, vision, life, disability), paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, and matching 401(k) and employee stock purchase plans.

- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
- Work Location: In person, with the ability to commute or relocate to New York, NY 10017 required before starting.
