Job Title: Assistant District Attorney - Bureau Chief

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement prosecution strategies for effective handling of criminal cases in Bronx County.
- Oversee the assignment of cases within the Bureau.
- Report to the Deputy Division Chief regarding the productivity and operations of the Bureau.
- Participate in meetings and conferences with the District Attorney’s Office and other law enforcement agencies to ensure cohesive operations.
- Serve as a faculty member for the Office’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs, which include Orientation Training for new Assistants, Grand Jury training, and both Felony and Misdemeanor Trial Training programs.
- Supervise Bureau staff on a day-to-day basis, including managing attendance, training, and development.
- Prepare case status and statistical reports as required for the evaluation of the Bureau's performance.
- Be on-call on a rotating basis during nights and weekends to handle case responses and make necessary assessments.

Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctorate degree is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of trial experience is required, with at least 4 years of prior management experience being preferred.
- New York State residency and US Citizenship are required as of the first day of employment.
- Candidates must possess excellent people skills and demeanor.
- Candidates should have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, is required.
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills are essential.
- Candidates should have the ability to exercise good judgment and strong ethics.
- The ability to analytically solve issues or problems from inception through conclusion is necessary.
- The position requires the ability to motivate, organize, and direct staff at various levels of responsibility.
- A working knowledge of investigative methods is important.
- Candidates must be able to understand and respond clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, to complex legal issues.

Salary Information:
- The salary range for this position is $207, to $220,.
