Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Legal Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the attorneys in the law firm, particularly in the area of insurance defense litigation. Key responsibilities include:
- Proficiently utilizing Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Pro and case management software like ATO and iManage.
- Filing pleadings and other necessary documents in both the Florida State Court filing system and the . District Court filing system.
- Managing scheduling and tasking deadlines efficiently, ensuring all timelines are met.
- Maintaining an updated case list to ensure all cases are tracked and managed effectively.
- E-filing documents and drafting pleadings and notices as required.
- Preparing simple binders for hearings or depositions, ensuring all necessary documents are organized and ready for presentation.
Education and Experience Information:
- Applicants should possess a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a preference for those with insurance defense experience.
- The role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and court filing systems is essential.
