Global Trade Compliance Director & Counsel - Full Time - Remote Type: Hybrid

**Salary: $175,000 - $250,000**

As the Global Trade Compliance Director, you will lead the trade compliance program and drive global trade initiatives to ensure adherence to international trade laws and regulations. This role involves overseeing import/export compliance, mitigating regulatory risks, and fostering a high-performance culture within a global team.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide legal counsel and support for the trade compliance program and monitoring procedures
- Develop communications and training plans to ensure alignment with trade compliance governance processes
- Collaborate with operational leadership to develop processes for compliance with regulatory changes
- Assess impact of global import and export control laws and regulations on **Members Only**'s business
- Develop, deploy, and improve global trade compliance program and procedures
- Provide trade compliance training programs and prioritize high-risk practices by country/region
- Conduct internal investigations and handle responses to compliance issues and government inquiries
- Monitor global regulatory environment and develop a strategy for responding to changes
- Manage a team of global compliance professionals and mentor staff

**Requirements:**

- Law degree and active member of at least one bar
- 10+ years of experience in international trade, including handling imports and exports in accordance with foreign government regulations
- 6+ years of experience leading teams within a global organization
- Knowledge of restricted party and third-party screening tools
- Expert knowledge of global trade laws and regulations
- Experience with due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions
- Strong understanding of commercial practices
- Government relations experience preferred
- Experience working with Mexican maquiladora operations
- Excellent communication skills
