Job Title: Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Director
Job Responsibilities:
A career in the Financial Services Tax practice within the Corporate Tax services at the company offers the opportunity to assist clients in meeting their tax obligations while managing the impact of tax on their businesses. The role involves advising clients on both local and international tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant in areas such as business analysis, working capital management, and partnership profit sharing. The director will also guide organizations on the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties and provide advice on the tax implications of deals. The primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting Financial Services clients in navigating the complex national and international tax environment related to capital requirements, operational tax risks, and investing in different jurisdictions.
- Helping clients with tax structuring and addressing challenges in the continuously changing tax landscape.
- Leading a team of problem solvers to tackle complex business issues from strategy to execution.
- Disrupting, improving, and evolving ways of working when necessary.
- Arranging and sponsoring assignments and experiences to help team members realize their potential and support their long-term aspirations.
- Identifying gaps in the market and spotting opportunities to create value propositions.
- Looking for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.

Additional Responsibilities:
The director will also lead the way as a technology-enabled tax advisor, providing value through digitization, automation, and improved efficiencies. This is achieved by equipping professionals with the tools needed to succeed in a fast-paced, complex transaction environment requiring a high level of sophistication. The role involves:
- Providing full services to real estate owners, developers, and investors, including publicly traded REITs, institutional real estate funds, and privately held real estate entities.
- Identifying and addressing client needs, developing and sustaining deep client relationships, and preparing complex written and verbal materials.
- Leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction, motivate members, create trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
- Generating new business, writing proposals, and delivering results.
- Utilizing CRM systems to network, develop relationships, and sell additional services.
- Innovating through new technologies and digitization solutions.
- Working with large, complex data sets and leveraging data visualization tools.
- Transforming business by creating capacity and delivering enhanced employee and client experiences.
- Evaluating and negotiating contracts and leveraging pricing tools to contribute to pricing strategies.
Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years
- Certification(s) Required: CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of tax compliance methods and strategy consulting for Real Estate Investment Trusts and Real Estate Partnerships.
- Thorough knowledge of partnership structures and their impact on real estate transactions and corresponding tax liabilities.
- Considerable knowledge of accounting of Unrelated Business Taxable Income.
- Extensive technical skills in providing full services to real estate entities.
- Experience in identifying and addressing client needs, developing relationships, and defining resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collection.
- Proven success as a tax technical team leader, generating new business, proposal writing, and delivery.
- Experience in a professional services environment utilizing automation and digitization.
- Proven experience with evaluating and negotiating new and existing contracts and leveraging pricing tools.
Salary Information:
The salary range for the Financial Services Tax - Real Estate Director position is $140,900 - $434,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
