Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will handle and maintain portfolio(s) of bankruptcy loans in accordance with company, client, and Bankruptcy Code requirements. Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff in preparing legal documents and/or processing transactions. Review new client referrals, loan documents, bankruptcy plans and schedules, motions, affidavits, dockets, pleadings, etc. Draft legal documents including motions, affidavits, orders, memoranda, and letters. Monitor client systems and perform data entry updates for client systems and internal databases. Promptly review and respond to communications from various parties involved in the bankruptcy process. Escalate immediately when attorney action is required. Perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma with 3-5 years of verifiable work experience is required. Paralegal certification is required. Bankruptcy experience representing creditors is a plus. Excellent oral, written, and communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels are needed. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential. Should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain effective results in fast paced environment. Must have familiarity with Bankruptcy Law.
