Job Title: Senior Claims Professional

Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Claims Professional will play a pivotal role in the management of liability insurance claims within the law firm's dynamic and innovative claims environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Investigating claims and developing strategies for resolution, which may encompass risk transfer, mediation, and litigation management.
- Assessing coverage obligations by analyzing policy language to recommend and prepare written coverage determinations, in collaboration with coverage counsel as needed.
- Setting and managing timely and adequate reserves while considering coverage, liability, and damages.
- Coordinating litigation efforts by hiring defense counsel and required experts, reviewing draft pleadings, and overseeing litigation plans, budgets, and invoices.
- Maintaining detailed electronic claim files by documenting all contacts, communications, and claim transactions.
- Ensuring exceptional customer service through professional and effective interactions with insureds, claimants, and business partners.
- Providing timely updates and responding promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
- Moving claims toward closure with proactive claim handling by collaborating with internal and external business partners to develop and execute claim resolution strategies.
- Keeping leadership informed of significant risks and losses through exposure projections and loss summaries.
- Preparing and presenting claim status and evaluations to leadership.
- Maintaining subject matter expertise and ensuring compliance with state and local regulatory requirements.
- Preparing reports for management, clients, and other designated recipients, requiring strong writing skills.
- Representing the organization in mediations, court proceedings, and other situations, with some travel required.

Education and Experience Information:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

- An undergraduate degree or a Paralegal Certificate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Teams.
- A minimum of 8 years of insurance experience within the field of Professional Liability.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Senior Claims Professional role is $79,500 to $97,000 per year, and the position is eligible for bonuses. The law firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
