Job Responsibilities
The Legal Administrative Assistant at the law firm will undertake a variety of responsibilities to provide comprehensive legal administrative support to attorneys and paralegals. The primary duties include:
- Performing reception, hospitality, and office services tasks, such as greeting clients and guests, answering phones, scheduling conference rooms, setting up conference rooms, managing office supplies, and handling mail.
- Engaging in a broad range of administrative duties, including document production, organization, research, and client contact and support.
- Creating, formatting, revising, and editing legal documents.
- Maintaining attorneys' calendars, planning and scheduling meetings, teleconferences, and travel arrangements.
- Collaborating with attorneys and the New Business Acceptance/Conflicts Department to manage new client intake procedures.
- Entering and tracking attorney time in a time management database.
- Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic filing in accordance with firm procedures and standards.
Education and Experience Information
- A minimum of one year of experience as a legal administrative assistant in a law firm or professional services firm is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and document conversion applications, such as Adobe, Nuance Power PDF, or PDF Creator Plus, is required.
- Experience working with HP/Autonomy iManage or other document management systems is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written (grammar, spelling, format), and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills are essential.
- The ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization and demonstrate a team-oriented work style is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical.
- The ability to handle shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is necessary.
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities are important.
- Adherence to maintaining confidential and sensitive information and displaying sound judgment is required.
- The ability to work overtime is necessary.
- A BS/BA degree is required.
Salary Information
The expected starting salary for the Legal Administrative Assistant position is between $65,000 and $80,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring in-office work four days per week.
