Job Title: Post Judgment Litigation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case assessments.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents and file them with the court.
- Perform administrative duties, including calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Coordinate with constables or sheriffs for judicial foreclosure sales.
- Calculate payoff amounts and/or negotiate payment plans with defendants or judgment debtors.
Education and Experience Information:
- Proven working experience as a Litigation Paralegal and Post-Judgment Paralegal.
- Applicable knowledge of judicial foreclosure procedures, motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, and practices.
- Experience with District and County Court systems.
- Experience working with constables and sheriffs in facilitating judicial foreclosure sales.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Extensive computer and database expertise.
