Job Title:
Paralegal Specialist – Investments
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct, summarize, and analyze legal research, including gathering facts, analyzing laws and regulations, and monitoring legislative updates.
- Support investment-related transactions by preparing, executing, and tracking legal documents and signatures.
- Maintain records in compliance with retention policies.
- Identify and summarize relevant legal and regulatory issues, and keep attorneys and Compliance staff updated.
- Review and explain forms and documents to internal clients.
- Collaborate with counsel, business partners, and stakeholders as needed.
- Assist in project management and cross-functional coordination.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively with varied personalities.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree AND at least 1 year of paralegal experience, OR
- Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred) AND at least 2 years of paralegal experience
- Paralegal administrative support experience in an investment law setting is beneficial but not required.
- Exposure to a legal office environment is helpful.
- Candidates with transferable skills and a strong interest in legal paralegal work are encouraged to apply.
Salary Information:
Compensation offered for this role is – per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Information:
- This job does not have supervisory duties.
- The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
- The position is located in Chicago, IL, United States, with a hybrid work schedule including some in-office days and some remote days.
