Job Title: Data Analyst I

Job Responsibilities:
The Data Analyst I is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights to facilitate informed decision-making across the law firm. This role requires a keen attention to detail, analytical skills, and critical thinking. The key duties and responsibilities include:

- Adhering to department, client, and organization policies and procedures.
- Identifying, selecting, and processing accounts for data vendor processing, ensuring correct and timely import of vendor data.
- Monitoring and analyzing purchased data performance, ensuring high-quality vendor demographic and asset data by measuring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), including ROI by batch, vendor, client, and state.
- Managing vendor expenses by adhering to the third-party data vendor budget, forecasting hit rates to control expenses and reduce data waste within predefined guidelines.
- Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to monitor KPIs and providing data vendor reporting to internal and external audiences.
- Preparing for and supporting monthly vendor performance meetings and presentations.
- Communicating with vendors regarding status of requests, future volume forecasts, credits for bad data, and other matters requiring vendor attention.
- Forecasting firm and client collection performance to within 3% of actuals.
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Supporting compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting by providing accurate and timely data.
- Recommending process improvements based on data insights.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high work standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and data visualization platforms such as Qlik or Tableau.
- Results-driven and detail-oriented.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in financial services, with a preference for debt collection.
- Previous experience with EDI/data exchange is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, delivering high-quality work products and results.
- Effective communication skills with vendors, internal operations, compliance teams, and senior management.
- Ability to assess pertinent information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions.
- Ability to prepare accurate, highly detailed work products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (., Power BI, Tableau); advanced SQL skills for complex querying, data manipulation, and data management are preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in data interchange, data analytics, business process requirements, and technical documentation or workflows.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in the collections and/or legal industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and accountability.

Salary Information:
The salary range for the Data Analyst I position is between $60, and $68, annually.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent requirement to talk or hear, and use hands to type, handle, or touch objects.
- Regular requirement to stand and walk, with occasional stooping, bending, or reaching above shoulder level.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Work Environment:
The position is primarily office-based, with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement.
