Job Title: Application Developer
Job Responsibilities:
The Application Developer at the law firm is tasked with a comprehensive range of responsibilities centered around the development and maintenance of complex programs and technology solutions. Key duties include:
- Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, installing, and designing programs for both internal and external clients, including attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, and clients.
- Analyzing end-user data needs to develop user-oriented solutions that interface with existing applications.
- Writing and configuring structured applications and interface codes from specifications, adhering to established methodologies and standards.
- Implementing unit testing for both new and modified applications.
- Participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
- Writing and revising program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in accordance with standards.
- Maintaining and providing support for in-house and third-party applications.
- Conducting research to troubleshoot and address identified issues.
- Identifying and communicating the resources needed for assigned tasks and areas.
- Monitoring progress on tasks against plans and reporting status to appropriate stakeholders.
- Translating detailed specifications and functional requirements into structured application programs, scripts, network solutions, and requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in any software developer role is necessary.
- At least 2 years of experience building applications on the platform is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Application Development using Microsoft Framework, Core, C#, React or Angular, and SQL Server.
- Experience developing and implementing SQL scripts, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
- Demonstrated experience with rest API creation and consumption, full stack development, troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and entity framework code first and unit testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, API Apps, and Logic Apps.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Web Apps, Function Apps, API Apps, and Logic Apps.
- Experience with Entity Framework Code First and Unit Testing.
- Experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of application life cycles and client/server architectures in an enterprise environment.
- Full Stack Development Experience.
- Web Design skills.
- Experience with Rest API creation and consumption.
- Experience with Web Services, XML, SOA, and JSON.
- Ability to develop and implement SQL scripts, Stored Procedures, and ETL processes.
Salary Information:
Compensation for the Application Developer role at the law firm is commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
- State of California: $94,000 - $180,000
- State of Colorado: $87,000 - $155,000
- State of Illinois: $85,000 - $165,000
- State of Massachusetts: $94,000 - $180,000
- State of Maryland: $91,000 - $138,000
- State of Minnesota: $94,000 - $180,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $102,000 - $186,000
- State of New York: $88,000 - $190,000
- State of Washington: $91,000 - $173,000
- Washington, .: $122,000 - $179,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, which is non-guaranteed and dependent upon individual and firm performance.
