Job Title: Legal Administrative Assistant - Intellectual Property
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys within the law firm's Intellectual Property department. Key responsibilities include managing legal documents, organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating communications with clients and government agencies. The assistant will also be responsible for calendar management, billing, conducting research, and handling filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and other relevant authorities.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a legal environment, with a preference for those who have exposure to intellectual property law. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management tools is required. Additionally, candidates should possess strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with intellectual property databases such as USPTO and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is considered a plus.
