Job Title: Wealth Regional Managing Director
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the growth and profitability of a regional Wealth Advisor Team by increasing revenues, expanding solutions and products to existing clients, marketing new products, and securing new clients while focusing on the Wealth segmentation strategy.
- Manage and lead one or more Wealth Teams within an assigned region or territory, establishing the team as credible financial partners to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
- Develop and implement a team business plan, including financial, budget, staffing, marketing, and calling plans, that aligns with the corporation's and Wealth's growth and profitability expectations in the high net worth client segment.
- Collaborate effectively with various specialists and partners to support client service and business development efforts, including credit, mortgage, planning, investment, trust and fiduciary services, and insurance services.
- Ensure personalized, attentive, needs-based service delivery to clients through sound financial planning and advisory concepts, actively monitoring investment accounts for adherence to objectives and policies.
- Employ strong talent management practices for development, retention, recruiting, and hiring, promoting a cohesive, inclusive, and diverse culture aligned with the company's Purpose, Mission, and Values.
- Ensure team compliance with established processes, procedures, and regulatory controls, managing risk and compliance, and participating as needed with regulators.
- Engage in senior Wealth leadership meetings, offering strategic advice and competitive analysis to assist in achieving overall Wealth goals and strategies.
- Maintain beneficial business relationships with internal and external centers of influence, including regional leadership teams, advisory board members, CPAs, attorneys, civic associations, and other organizations to enhance marketing efforts.
- Work within audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks to ensure a high-quality, compliant portfolio of relationships, collaborating closely with specialized support areas to implement risk management practices, policies, and procedures.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- FINRA licenses required: Series 7, 63, 65 or 66, and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, as applicable. Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses also required.
- 15 or more years of experience in banking, investment, and financial planning, with an emphasis on sales and relationship management of complex and sensitive accounts, and business development within a similarly complex market.
- 10 years of leadership experience in coaching in sales and relationship management.
- Thorough understanding of a broad range of financial planning and investment concepts, with advanced knowledge of retail banking and trust and fiduciary services.
- Proven knowledge of deposit, credit, and investment products.
- Successful track record using interpersonal, sales, presentation, and relationship management skills in wealth management within the high net worth marketplace.
- Strong written, verbal, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to coach teammates to a similar caliber.
- Ability to thrive and actively participate in a national team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
- Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check.
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, JD, CPA, CFA, or CFP.
- 5 years of proven experience leading and managing multi-regional wealth teams.
- Completion or enrollment in professional-level certification programs such as Chartered Financial Analyst, Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Chartered Life Underwriter, or Certified Public Accountant.
