At **Members Only**, we are seeking an experienced family law attorney with three or more years of experience to join our hard-working team. Our firm specializes in family law, estate planning, and business law, and we are founded on four key values: trust, respect, teamwork, and results. We are looking for someone who not only possesses strong technical skills, but also has the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, we value individuals who can connect well with people and develop quality client relationships.
We are a small, busy firm located in the beautiful Field Office building in Northwest Portland's Slabtown neighborhood. Our team enjoys being located in a relatively quiet neighborhood just off the water and a short walk from New Seasons and great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. We also offer hybrid work-from-home schedules, promoting a good work-life balance for our employees.
Your qualifications for this role include a highly motivated and professional demeanor, with a desire to develop and grow the family law department. You should have three years of experience in all facets of family law, including dissolution, custody, modification of existing orders and enforcement proceedings, as well as experience utilizing alternative dispute resolution methods. Additionally, you should be able to prioritize and manage your own caseload while also working collaboratively with other attorneys and legal staff.
Empathy and a sensible demeanor are also important qualities for this role, as you will be handling sensitive family law matters and clients in crisis. Membership in the Oregon State Bar is required, and admission in other jurisdictions is a plus. We value individuals who can combine technical skills and excellent attention to detail with the ability to connect with people and develop strong client relationships.
As a member of our team, you should also be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, including the ability to understand, analyze, interpret, and clearly convey complex information and concepts. Additionally, we value competent research skills, with the ability to know when to "figure it out" and when to seek guidance.
Computer proficiency in basic business and legal programs, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is also required for this role. We pride ourselves on having no ego within our team, and everyone is expected to work and function as a cohesive unit, with everyone pitching in where needed.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary, as well as medical, dental, and 401(k) benefits with an employer match. We also offer flexible PTO and a hybrid work-from-home schedule. **Members Only** is an equal opportunity employer, celebrating diversity and committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
If you are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume and cover letter to . We look forward to hearing from you and potentially welcoming you to our team at **Members Only**.
