Job Title: Director of Legal Recruitment
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process of lateral partners and groups.
- Oversee candidate sourcing through search firms, social media, internet searches, referrals, and informational interviews to attract and hire top-notch talent.
- Conduct interviews, negotiate terms, draft and extend offers, perform due diligence, and oversee the disposition of candidates in the applicant tracking system.
- Conduct due diligence on candidates, including obtaining and reviewing lateral partner questionnaires and analyzing candidate metrics.
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, and Chief of Legal Operations in vetting books for lateral candidates.
- Support the Hiring Principal and Chief Financial Officer in constructing financial projections and compensation models.
- Partner with Conflicts Counsel regarding conflicts for new hires.
- Establish and maintain relationships with search firms, professional recruiting organizations, and career services professionals at law schools.
- Devise growth strategies with Board Members, Chief Business Development Officer, and Practice Group Leaders to acquire firms, practice groups, and partner-level lawyers.
- Work with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on diversity pipeline programs and initiatives relating to the recruitment and retention of diverse lawyers.
- Manage lateral onboarding and integration.
- Oversee attorney orientation and collaborate with marketing for onboarding of all attorneys.
- Lead associate recruiting and direct hiring and planning of the summer associate program, in collaboration with a manager and coordinator.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience recruiting partners and/or practice groups is necessary.
- Experience in a law or other professional services firm is strongly preferred.
- The candidate must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Experience in working with recruiting databases is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely and effectively with Firm and Administrative Department Leaders are required.
- The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail are necessary.
- The ability to solve problems, use sound judgment, and exercise discretion is crucial.
- A strong customer service orientation with a positive and professional demeanor is required.
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are needed.
- Proficiency in Human Resources Information System functions, such as LawCruit Applicant Tracking and Performance Management, is required.
Salary Information:
The law firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, and Firm-sponsored Memberships (., Peloton, Norton LifeLock), among other benefits. The pay range for this position is $144,800 - $213,400. This pay range is compliant with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.

- The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position or sit for prolonged periods and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
