Job Title: Connecticut Personal Injury Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
- Ordering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records to prepare factual responses to discovery.
- Conducting regular client interviews over the phone and providing timely updates on their legal cases.
- Reviewing and evaluating cases to prepare them for attorney review and filing.
- Assisting Intake Specialists in managing the intake system.
- Managing the workflow of cases within the electronic case management system.
- Drafting and sending various correspondences.
- Drafting pleadings including complaints, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Offering general assistance to attorneys and senior paralegals.
- Properly documenting all events and communications consistently.
- Submitting invoices in a timely manner in accordance with firm policy.
- Managing and meeting deadlines for statutes of limitations (SOLs) and other filings under attorney supervision.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm setting, preferably in a mass tort or personal injury firm.
- Proven ability to assist attorneys and senior-level paralegals.
- Experience with drafting and filing complaints and other pleadings.
- Ability to review medical information and summarize it with minimal supervision.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with technology.
- The firm operates paperlessly, and the candidate is expected to adapt to this environment.
- Friendly and calming phone etiquette, with the ability to remain patient in stressful situations.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
Salary Information:
