Senior Proposal Writer
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in writing, business, marketing, journalism, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5-7 years of experience managing RFP/proposals for large-scale procurements, preferably for government agencies, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the full lifecycle of complex and high-value proposal development
- Conduct comprehensive RFP analysis and qualification
- Monitor and maintain RFP sites and expand the Firm's RFP pipeline
- Maintain schedule of deadlines for RFP tasks
- Provide quality assurance and review processes for each RFP
- Develop proposal outlines and compliance matrices
- Work with attorneys to write clear and effective responses to RFP/proposal requirements
- Draft professional correspondence for communicating with government procurement officials and agency representatives
- Track RFP process and maintain internal reporting and historical records
- Identify all requirements of the proposal and assign ownership for each item
- Maintain RFP document repository with accurate records of all RFP activities
- Provide backup support for marketing duties
- Update and maintain website, alerts/announcements, and social media postings
- Provide support for awards/chambers and other submissions
Requirements
- Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Ability to craft persuasive narratives
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
- Critical thinking skills and ability to identify key issues and develop strategic messaging
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Strong research and analytical skills for identifying RFP opportunities
- Familiarity with RFP resources, template development, and content-driven narratives
- Graphic design aptitude, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and digital media tools and platforms
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Position Details
- Full-time position located in one of our office locations
- Periodic travel to other office locations may be required
- Hybrid work environment with potential for remote work
- Salary range of $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience

- Firm will cover some public transportation costs
