Labor & Employment Partner
Job Responsibilities:
The Labor & Employment Partner will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services in employment law matters. The role involves significant client interaction and requires the attorney to handle various aspects of employment litigation and counseling. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing single plaintiff employment claims as well as PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters.
- Engaging in extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.
- Drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings.
- Drafting and arguing motions.
- Taking and defending depositions.
- Providing sound legal counsel and representation in employment litigation, counseling, and training across multiple jurisdictions.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate must meet the following educational and experience requirements:
- Admission to practice law in California.
- A minimum of eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of experience in employment law matters.
- Prior experience in employment litigation, preferably on the management side.
- Experience with employment claims including PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA.
- Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience is preferred.
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary Information:
The position offers a competitive salary range:
- Minimum Salary: USD $210, per year.
- Maximum Salary: USD $240, per year.
