Job Title: Workers' Compensation Paralegal
Job Responsibilities:
As a Workers' Compensation Paralegal at our law firm, you will be integral in supporting our attorneys and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate case notes within our advanced case management system to ensure efficient case tracking and management.
- Efficiently handling the opening and processing of cases and files, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained and organized for case readiness.
- Engaging in client communications to provide updates and gather necessary information, ensuring a positive client experience.
- Requesting and organizing supporting documentation crucial for case development and resolution.
- Filing necessary forms and documents with the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission to ensure compliance and case progression.
- Preparing cases for hearings, ensuring all necessary materials and information are ready for attorney review.
Education and Experience Information:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation, which is preferred to ensure familiarity with the processes and requirements of the role.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues, enhancing the client experience and supporting team collaboration.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications to streamline administrative tasks and enhance productivity.
- Strong multitasking abilities to handle a high volume of work independently, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Composure in fast-paced situations, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under pressure.
- A positive and can-do attitude that fosters teamwork and contributes to a supportive work environment.
