JOB TITLE: Human Resources Assistant (Temp)

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Assistant (Temporary) position is a seasonal part-time, non-exempt role within the Human Resources department. This position is scheduled from June 9, 2025, to August 8, 2025, with a work week. The role is located at the Kansas City, MO office and reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. The primary function of this role is to work closely with the Human Resources team during the summer to assist with various tasks and projects related to file organization. This includes sorting, scanning, shredding, and other tasks as assigned.

Compensation for this position is set at $20 per hour.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review and organize Human Resources employee records and documentation.
- Scan necessary physical Human Resources files using office equipment and software, specifically iManage.
- Properly label, categorize, and store digital files in accordance with company standards.
- Assist in verifying the completeness of scanned documents and maintaining data accuracy.
- Safely dispose of or archive physical files based on retention guidelines.
- Support the Human Resources team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

- A High School Diploma is required.
- A degree or 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related business function is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Comfortable using scanners, computers, and digital file systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- The position is generally sedentary in nature; it involves sitting most of the time but may require inter-office mobility for brief periods.
- Ability to occasionally or routinely lift up to 10–20 lbs.
- Must have the ability to efficiently communicate.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions as required.
- Must be able to see and read PC screens, detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print.
