Job Title: Paralegal - Litigation

Job Responsibilities:

- Manage litigation databases and calendars to ensure all case-related information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of quarterly Board and regulatory reporting agendas and materials.
- Track the status of cases and deliverables for the in-house legal team to ensure timely handling.
- Liaise with arbitral administrators and track cases on PACER and state-court websites.
- Assist in preparation for mediations and trials, including compiling and maintaining data involving thousands of studios.
- Lead the litigation hold process by drafting, managing, and tracking litigation holds.
- Work with IT and outside vendors to ensure litigation data is properly preserved.
- Support in-house attorneys with due diligence requests and discovery processes, including fact-finding, witness interviews, document collection, and e-discovery.
- Organize and draft responses to requests for information for attorney’s review.
- Draft tender letters to insurance companies and communications to opposing parties for counsel’s review.
- Assist with case intake, including categorizing cases, tracking risk levels, and reviewing and organizing law firm and expert retainer letters.
- Assist in managing insurance coverage and tracking the same.
- Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and legal documents with high accuracy.
- Assist in developing and updating SOP playbooks to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Organize and calendar meetings and phone calls.
- Work with the accounting team and accounts payable to ensure settlement payments are timely and the company is informed of upcoming required payments and accruals.
- Assist attorneys in ensuring follow-through by the business of recommended actions.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, taking ownership of complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills, supporting a collaborative and friendly environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrate utmost integrity.
- Coordinate cross-functional legal input by working closely with other attorneys and paralegals in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Legal Affairs or other department attorneys.

Education and Experience Information:

- Minimum of five (5) years' experience working as a complex-commercial litigation paralegal, with significant experience working with courts and in arbitral fora.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Familiarity with large-scale and class action litigations; familiarity with franchising is a plus.
- Facility with Excel, Word, and Google Docs is a must; experience with Zoho is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Excellent research and writing skills; ability to prepare clear, concise, and complete documents, reports, correspondence, and other communications materials that are error-free.
- Ability to make effective public presentations.

Salary Information:

- Pay Range: $35 - $50 hourly
- Hybrid working schedule
