Paralegal/Legal Assistant Position with Procopio Law Firm in Downtown San Diego
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000+ (Depending on Experience)
Procopio is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our family law group in our downtown San Diego office. This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or equivalent, as well as strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
As a Paralegal/Legal Assistant at Procopio, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including billable hour paralegal work, calendaring, communicating with opposing counsel and clients, court filings, and more. Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
- Communicating with opposing counsel and clients
- Scheduling and attending hearings and mediations
- Court filings and service of documents
- Preparing correspondence, judicial council forms, and declarations
- Assisting with discovery and document review
- Screening new clients and running conflict checks
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or equivalent
- Strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize daily workload and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and timekeeping systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
