Job Title: Senior Debt Collector
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish contact with borrowers to discuss delinquencies and their ability or willingness to pay. Identify appropriate repayment programs or options available to them.
- Record accurate and detailed notes; update account status and card member’s information into computer systems.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals, deadlines, and objectives.
- Comply with policies and procedures of the law firm.
- Comply with FDCPA and state consumer protection laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- 5+ years of debt collection experience, preferably in 3rd party collections.
- Knowledge of the FDCPA and state consumer protection laws.
- Above-average administrative and phone skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well-organized and results-driven.
- Effective decision-making skills.
- Strong listening, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Qualifications:
- Ability to lift five pounds or greater.
- Ability to sit for 90% of the workday at times.
- Ability to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate in a common language with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing.
- Ability to travel occasionally by the most efficient means of transportation.
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device.
- Ability to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule.
Salary Information:
The base hourly rate for this position is , with uncapped bonus potential.
