Job Title: Consumer Protection Mid-Level Associate

Job Responsibilities:
The Consumer Protection Mid-Level Associate will join the growing Consumer Protection practice within the US Antitrust, Competition & Trade (ACT) group at the law firm's Washington, . office. The associate will be involved in regulatory counseling, enforcement defense, and risk management across areas such as privacy, data security, advertising and marketing, consumer reporting, and financial products. The role involves interacting with regulators, responding to complex inquiries, and collaborating with a team to manage multiple workstreams efficiently. The associate will also help train junior associates and contribute to the representation of leading technology, financial, and consumer-facing companies in high-stakes regulatory matters.

Education and Experience Information:
Candidates should have 2–5 years of experience in a . law firm or federal agency, particularly the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), with outstanding academic credentials. Prior experience at the FTC, another federal/state consumer protection authority, or a law firm with a strong consumer protection practice is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with consumer protection laws, FTC or state AG investigations, and related compliance matters. Experience with class action litigation, especially in connection with regulatory enforcement, is considered a plus. Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required. Candidates must be admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.

Salary Information:
Associates at the law firm are compensated based on leading market rates. The current salary range for this position is estimated to be $235,000 - $390,000, commensurate with experience. The firm also provides bonuses to associates in good standing, consistent with the California and New York legal markets.
