Job Title: Emerging Growth & Venture Capital - Business Development & Marketing Director

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to identify new opportunities, expand key client relationships, and develop strategic plans.
- Collaborate closely with the law firm's partners to implement strategic plans for the Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice.
- Build and cultivate long-term relationships with entrepreneurs, executives, venture capital investment professionals, bankers, and thought leaders.
- Collaborate with attorneys to drive new client acquisition and expand existing venture capital client relationships.
- Advise current venture-backed clients on strategic growth initiatives, including financing needs, and connect them to relevant investors.
- Manage key client relationships and facilitate cross-collaborative opportunities globally.
- Create and maintain a network of venture capital investors and entrepreneurs.
- Identify and facilitate the creation of venture capital market thought leadership.
- Serve as an ambassador at major venture capital market programs and events.
- Support and attend high-level client events, sponsorships, and educational programs.
- Create actionable individual business development plans for selected partners.
- Lead and collaborate with other market-facing team members to increase connectivity and cross-collaboration within the venture capital ecosystem.
- Serve as an internal business development coach to the firm's attorneys.

Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Development, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or related commercial subjects.
- Other Education/Certifications: A Master's degree or JD is highly desirable.
- Minimum Years of Experience: 8 years of leadership experience in a business development/sales role, preferably from the private equity ecosystem or a law firm with a leading Emerging Growth/Venture Capital Practice.

- Strong understanding of the venture capital and public markets ecosystems.
- Knowledge of legal and professional services sectors within the venture capital and public markets ecosystems is highly desirable.

Salary Information:
- The expected hiring range for this position is $240,282 - $339,144 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
- Compensation will also depend on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
- A comprehensive package of benefits is offered, including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) plan.
