Paralegal The candidate will work with compliance attorneys and construction and architectural teams focused on projects involving accessibility to buildings for persons with disabilities. Monitor construction and other client project updates to maintain files, databases, photos, and documentation on clients accessibility projects and access training materials. Learn and apply legal codes and issues applicable to building access as well as processes for overseeing building or site updates and initiatives aimed at improving ADA compliance. Suggest and apply process improvements where appropriate. Document and communicate large volumes of data with all levels of personnel. Work and communicate with attorneys, client personnel, local permitting offices, and other third parties. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. A Bachelor's Degree is required. Should have 5+ years of professional experience related to project management, legal compliance, organization or large projects, or process improvement. Should have strong organizational skills, accuracy, and extreme attention to detail. Analytical, research, and multi-tasking skills are required. Knowledge of accessibility or building codes is preferred or any knowledge of such codes or construction experience is a plus. Must be willing to learn and apply the substance of such codes. Moderate MS Excel skills, including formatting text and data, are needed. Moderate skills in Nuance (or Adobe Pro), and PowerPoint are essential. Working knowledge of all Windows applications, including Word, Outlook e-mail, and document management systems are needed. A paralegal Certificate or direct ADA experience is required.
