Job Title: Litigation Counsel
Job Responsibilities:
- Join and contribute to a talented and collaborative team of litigators and cross-functional partners.
- Actively participate in managing a diverse range of matters within the company's complex litigation docket across multiple jurisdictions.
- Partner with outside counsel to handle cutting-edge cases, oversee substantive work, and make key strategic decisions.
- Support the company's responses to requests for information, subpoenas, and other outreach globally by working cross-functionally to gather necessary information.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Policy team to analyze draft legislation and regulations, strategize about regulatory developments, and anticipate future challenges.
- Engage with a wide array of regulators, including privacy, communications, antitrust regulators, and legislative bodies.
- Provide counsel to business teams to help identify and mitigate potential litigation and regulatory issues from the outset.
Education and Experience Information:
- . degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active membership in at least one state bar, or licensed to practice law in the UK for a US-based company.
- A minimum of 6 years of legal experience in litigation and regulatory matters.
- Preferred qualifications include complex litigation experience in private practice, federal and/or state government litigation experience, in-house experience, and trial experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Wide-ranging litigation experience, including brief-writing, legal strategy, discovery, deposition and trial preparation, and expert witnesses.
- Experience in handling significant aspects of complex legal matters and contributing to strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with eDiscovery and managing voluminous document productions cost-effectively.
- Ability to collaborate well with colleagues within and outside the direct team.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- Sound judgment on legal and business issues.
- Self-starter capability with the ability to recognize and set priorities independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
- In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone that determines the salary range for the position.
- Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $209,000-$313,000 annually.
- Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $199,000-$297,000 annually.
- Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $178,000-$266,000 annually.
- This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs (Restricted Stock Units).
