LEGAL EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT - CONVENIENTLY LOCATED IN NEW YORK CITY
Ropes & Gray, a top-three ranked global law firm known for its exceptional practices and commitment to excellence, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Executive Assistant to join their team in New York City. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to work alongside industry-leading lawyers and play a vital role in managing day-to-day activities.
As a Legal Executive Assistant, you will join the practice as an integral member of the group, managing the flow of information as you screen, organize, and prioritize requests from both internal and external clients. You will also have the opportunity to support and demonstrate fluency in the firm's Trusted Advisor and Proactive Assistance programs, as well as develop a strong understanding of assigned lawyers' practices and clients.
The successful candidate will possess a college degree or equivalent, along with expert proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The anticipated pay range for this role is between $73,900 and $112,650, with the potential for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and demonstrate fluency in the firm's Trusted Advisor and Proactive Assistance programs
- Maintain strict confidentiality and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and work effectively with other departments
- Foster open and frequent communication with teammates
- Provide superior client service with internal and external clients
- Act as a gatekeeper and prioritize conflicting needs
- Demonstrate an intimate knowledge of assigned lawyer's work habits and preferences
- Develop a strong understanding of assigned lawyer's practice and clients
- Work closely with, and effectively manage, assigned lawyers' practice
- Efficiently reconcile and process expenses
- Actively manage timekeepers' diaries
- Compose, edit, and proofread correspondence, presentations, and other documents
- Proactively coordinate internal and external meetings
- Arrange travel and monitor travel preferences
- Proactively coach lawyers to delegate non-billable tasks to their LEA
- Manage multiple calendars and support scheduling requirements
- Monitor attorney's inbox and organize Outlook folder structure
- Actively contribute in secretarial huddles and other team-related activities
- Maintain subject matter level expertise in the firm's core applications
Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent
- Expert proficiency with MS Office applications

Working Conditions:
