Job Title: Legal Process Engineer - Any Office Location
Job Responsibilities:
The Legal Process Engineer (LPE) at the law firm operates as a strategic intermediary between attorneys and cross-functional teams, orchestrating projects to enhance efficiency and elevate client service. Key responsibilities include:
Project Management and Process Improvement in Pricing and Budgeting:
- Develop and execute portfolio-specific and matter-specific pricing strategies by analyzing historical data, designing budget models, and collaborating with Legal Data, Costing, and Reporting groups to present effective client proposals.
- Act as a central liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal operations by translating legal service delivery into clear statements of work and stakeholder analyses, ensuring every engagement remains on track and within budget.
- Promote project management and continuous improvement by implementing innovative fee arrangements, task-based billing plans, and workflow enhancements to monitor performance metrics and refine solutions to deliver client value.
Marketing, Training, and Practice Group Coordination:
- Collaborate with attorneys and marketing teams to create compelling, client-focused proposals and collateral, showcasing the firm’s innovative solutions, pricing strategies, and value-driven rates in RFPs and pitch decks.
- Advocate firmwide adoption of pricing and innovation tools by presenting at practice-group meetings, providing targeted training, and creating reusable resources to equip colleagues with the skills to win new matters and exceed client expectations.
Client Solutions Group Coordination:
- Serve as an operational cornerstone for clients’ Legal Operations teams by developing financial tools to track budgets, monitor matters and portfolios, and coordinate seamlessly with attorneys to ensure matters progress with economic clarity and confidence.
- Convert data into opportunities by partnering with firm leaders and the Marketing & Business Development team to uncover strategic insights, craft high-impact templates, and design client-focused pricing strategies that strengthen relationships and secure new work.
Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal pricing, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Preferred experience/certification in project management, process improvement, or knowledge management, or willingness to obtain.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in pricing software and financial modeling tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

Salary Information:
The salary range for applicants in New Jersey is $100,000 - $125,000.
