Job Title: Norfolk Recruiting Assistant
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides direct support to the Director of Recruiting, Recruiting Committee, Chief Growth Officer, and firm attorneys.
- Assists the Recruiting Manager with day-to-day administrative activities and projects.
- Assists with administrative aspects of recruiting meetings, events, and summer associate program needs, including handling RSVPs, confirmations, materials, and venue setup.
- Coordinates logistics for the law school student recruiting process, developing outreach and communications with targeted law schools.
- Assists the Recruiting Committee with coordinating virtual, on-campus, and in-office interviews.
- Travels to various law schools to assist with on-site logistics as needed.
- Manages candidate interview experiences, including callback scheduling.
- Oversees details of the summer associate program (1L and 2L), including housing, schedules, evaluations, and event management.
- Coordinates with internal teams for summer associate rotation schedules, office space, equipment, and training.
- Maintains communication with summer associate candidates throughout the year.
- Develops relationships with university and student organizations to implement outreach programs.
- Compiles feedback from summer associates on recruiting efforts.
- Assists with . program recruiting, including registration, interview setup, callback scheduling, and evaluations.
- Supports the Associates Committee with associate mentorship events and lunches.
- Assists the Director of Recruiting and Chief Growth Officer with tracking lateral attorney candidates, coordinating interviews, and obtaining post-interview feedback.
- Coordinates and assists with community involvement events.
- Processes invoices and requests checks for the department.
- Maintains filing systems, recruiting project charts, and department calendars.
Education and Experience Information:
- Experience with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher (required).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator (preferred).
- Experience with HTML.
- Experience with CRM Database (ContactEase) and MailChimp.
- A is preferred.
